.Walnut Banana Yogurt Pancakes.

Introducing my latest culinary creation! I got the main recipe off of a Chobani Greek Yogurt container, and tweaked to my liking. Here's what you'll need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 3/4 of Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 3/4 tsp of Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 1/2 of Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 Large Banana
  • 1/4 Cup of Sugar Free Syrup
  • Pinch of Cinnamon
Combine dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whisk all the wet ingredients. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture and disk until smooth. Then add chopped walnuts.

Over medium heat, add 1/4 cup of pancake mixture. When bubbles appear, flip and cook the other side until golden brown.

Cut up one large banana. on plate arrange banana around the outside, fill the middle of the plate with three pancakes. Add the rest of the banana on top of pancakes, drizzle syrup, and sprinkle cinnamon.

Serve and Enjoy!

The Girl with Yellow Rain Boot.

This is my latest creation...

Medium: acrylic paint/melted crayon.

I have been wanting to do a melted crayon piece for a long time now, but I didn't wanted it to look like ever other melted crayon art piece out there. I wanted to incorporate the melted crayon to look like something, in this case, rain. I also didn't want the crayons stuck to the piece, so I held them one by one moving them across the clouds and they started to melt. It took a lot longer, but I think the end product was worth the time. (Note: I had to do some touch ups to the clouds when I was done, and also the umbrella.

Enjoy. Feel free to ask questions!

Cupcakes.

I've been baking again.

My latest creation: Strawberry cupcake with a homemade vanilla whipped cream frosting, topped with organic dark chocolate shavings and curls and a heart shaped strawberry.

I like to think of it as my Neapolitan cupcake. It was a great hit for Valentine's day.

I absolutely LOVE baking (and these cupcakes)!

If you ever want the recipe, just email me.

Happy Valentines Day!

Hey, just wanted to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day in the nerdiest way I knew how. I sent this to my boyfriend as my Valentine to him, but I figured I would share it with you as well!

You can make this heart with your N-spire by typing in the following two equations:

f1(x)=sqrt(sqrt(4*x^2+1)-x^(2)-1)
f2(x)= (3/2pi)*sin^-1(sqrt(2)abs(x)-1) - (3/4)

The Stark Family Retro Christmas

So in the past couple years my father has been into the retro looking Christmas trees. This year I had the privilege of decorating this awesome tree. What you see is the big colorful lights and long tinsel that drapes from top to bottom. The tinsel can no longer be found (that I am aware of) and was given to us from my grandparents. This tree aways makes me think of "A Christmas Story", maybe I will wake up with an official Red Rider BB gun for christmas this year!

The Easter Egg Tree

Lately I have been baking more and more importantly I have been learning cake decorating skills. Here is an Easter cake I made this year. It is a funfetti cake with pink lemonade frosting. I am really enjoying this new found hobby of mine and hope to expand my knowledge and skill in the future!

Then Sings My Sole....

My New Toms! For those of you who don't know Toms Shoes exists to shoe children in need. They promise that, "With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. ONE FOR ONE."

My school sponsored a style your shoes event, where we all bought TOMS through our school then had a painting party. This is what I did with mine, and this is my first pair. I encourage you to buy a pair, if you don't like the style then buy a pair for someone you know would, to help TOMS in their mission to help children protect their precious little feet.

You do not have to paint them, they offer tons of styles. however, for you artsy-fartsy types, by a white pair and use it as your canvas of inspiration!
